B’Visioun started with the curriculum created by the owner, ChiQuita Battle, while teaching in DC Public Schools. I created academically challenging lesson plans that would help with life skills. Halfway through the year, I saw that some sparks caught fire and students began to rise to meet the standards set before them. The goal was to create momentum toward the national goal of ensuring that our students have equal access to academic excellence as we prepare our students to be globally competitive.
The leadership skills shared with DCPS students were foundational principles that can be used for success by all. B'Visioun uses core principles to develop leaders in the marketplace, helping small and midsize businesses develop an internal and external communication strategy.
ChiQuita is an author, consultant, and public speaker covering leadership, digital humanities, and other business-related topics.
VOLUNTEER
In July 2007, B'Visioun started as a Sole Proprietorship. In 2021 B'Visioun became an LLC. B'Visioun has sponsored community programs since 2007 when we spoke to students about their digital footprint and social media etiquette. 2012- 2015 Volunteered with local Head Start. Lobbied Congress to continue the funding for Head Start nationally. The biggest community project was in 2018, "Dads Walk Your Child To School Day" where I was successful in securing the Governor's Citation and County Proclamation to commemorate the day. Besides volunteering with MCPS to deliver student training covering the topic of computer etiquette, B’Visioun has worked with the Maryland Department of Human Resources to educate welfare-to-work participants on personal and professional development. B'Visioun continues to mentor young people by working with community partners that select high school students from strained backgrounds to work as interns for local companies.
I use various channels to deliver services (as an author, consultant, and public speaker.)
